STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS

1. A minimum of six (6) months work experience as a nurse aide in a health care facility within the last two (2) years. Verification is required.

2. For those nurse aide employed in health care facilities that may be exempt from OBRA nurse aide testing and training requirements, it is recommended that they meet all qualifications of the OBRA regulations prior to enrolling in the medication aide class.

3. Completed application.

4. High School transcript/GED scores. (If high school transcript/GED scores unavailable, applicant must take the COMPASS test and score at tenth grade level in reading and math.) Contact the school to schedule COMPASS Test.
