CAVE CITY, KY (May 2, 2012)- Bowling Green Technical College honored 53 students at its Spring Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony May 2, 2012. The Ceremony was held at the Cave City Convention Center.
The ceremony included the pinning ceremony for the LPN-Glasgow Campus class along with the capping of BGTC’s Main Campus LPN class.
In addition to receiving their Practical Nursing pins, diplomas and degrees, the following awards were presented at the ceremony:
· The Gold Bandage Scissors Award sponsored by T J Sampson Hospital for the student with the highest GPA - recipient Vanessa Logsdon
· The Molly Carmon award for highest in OB sponsored by retired pediatrician Dr. Carolyn McKinley - recipient Nicole Clark
· The Clinical Nursing Award sponsored Barren County Health Care Center – recipient Tara Ervin
· The Perfect Attendance award sponsored by the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) student organization – recipients Debra Boone & Nancy Decker
· The Ann K. Rodgers Nursing Award sponsored by the Glasgow B&PW Club – recipient Vanessa Logsdon
· The Pharmacology Award for the highest average in Pharmacology sponsored by the Kentucky State LPN Association - recipient Dustin Moss
· The Geriatric Award sponsored by NHC Healthcare – recipient Michael Shultz
· The Joy Rudenga Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the Joy Rudenga family - recipient Leicha Howell

Bowling Green Technical College is one of the 16 colleges that comprise the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).
