Operation P.R.I.D.E. is a non-profit organization dedicated to making Bowling Green/Warren County an attractive community in which to live by providing the framework for individuals, businesses, civic organizations, neighborhood groups, churches, and schools to work together for a proud, progressive, and professional community image.
“We seek to accomplish this goal by providing a coordinated, comprehensive program designed to enhance the general appearance and sense of place of our city and county,” said Ray Lackey, Executive Director of Operation Pride . “The results of this program are an exceptional quality of life and community pride for present and future generations that will ensure our community’s ability to compete in the global market.”
Each month the Operation P.R.I.D.E Board of Directors presents awards in the categories of residential, commercial, and neighborhoods. Bowling Green Technical College received the commercial property category award for the renovation and construction of the new Main Campus courtyard.
“The College has identified a tremendous need to create a campus atmosphere,” says BGTC President, Dr. Nathan Hodges. “Our current Master Plan has a phased approach with the primary idea of transitioning the roadways and parking to the perimeter of the grounds, and creating a central area where students, faculty, and staff can interact. The construction of the new courtyard provides that sense of campus.”
