Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society: BGTC Chapter Beta Upsilon Alpha
Bowling Green Technical College has been approved to begin a new chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society: Beta Upsilon Alpha. Eligible students have been invited to join after completing 12 credit hours of associate degree course work and maintaining a G.P.A. of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Eligible students have until February 24, 2012 to join.
The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunities for the development of leadership, community service, fellowship for scholars, and continuing academic excellence. Membership includes an array of benefits designed to encourage student growth as scholars and leaders.
PTK Beta Upsilon Alpha advisors are Associate Professor Diane Wilkins (901-1040) and Assistant Professor Gary Crump (901-1123). There will be a formal Induction Ceremony for new PTK Beta Upsilon Alpha members on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 5:00 PM (Main Campus, Building F). All BGTC faculty and staff are invited to attend. There are currently seventeen new members.
