Nursing Student at Bowling Green Technical College
“My instructors at Bowling Green Technical College have helped me build confidence in myself, and given me the knowledge to succeed in the field of nursing.”
Before attending BGTC, I was enrolled in another college and was unable to decide what career path to pursue. After trying out majors such as accounting and psychology, I decided I would give nursing a try. When I finally came to the conclusion, nursing is the right career path for me; I contacted the college to obtain information. The staff at BGTC is friendly and very helpful. They were able to provide me with the information I needed to be admitted to the school, as well as information on courses which were required for acceptance into the nursing program.
I am now currently in my 3rd and final semester of the LPN program here at the Bowling Green Technical College main campus. My instructors in the nursing program are there to see me succeed. They provide me with the information needed to be a prudent and responsible nurse. My hours spent observing and utilizing my nursing skills in the clinical setting has given me confidence which I lacked when beginning the program. Once graduated from the LPN program, I hope to return to continue my education and obtain my Associate Degree in Nursing. While my ultimate goal being to obtain my Master’s in Nursing and obtaining my licensure as an acute care nurse practitioner. I will carry the confidence and knowledge which I have obtained from my time here at Bowling Green Technical College to reach those goals.
