Admissions Process - (270) 901-1000
ADMISSIONS
A complete application for admissions folder includes the following:
Application for Admissions
Entering Student Survey
ACT or Compass Scores
High School Transcript or GED
College Transcripts, if you have attended another college
Student Information Sheet
Sensitivity Training Sheet
Your Admission File must be complete in order to receive financial aid and to be classified as a degree, diploma or certificate seeking student.
ASSESSMENT
If your ACT score is below an 18 in reading, math or English, or you do not have ACT scores, you will be required to take the Compass Placement Exam. The results will help in recommending/placing you in appropriate courses, based on your academic background. To schedule a COMPASS Exam in Bowling Green call (270) 901-1037 or in Glasgow call (270) 901-1200.
ACADEMIC ADVISING
You will be assigned an academic advisor prior to the time of registration to assist you in completing your schedule of classes, Your advisor's name was provided in your Letter of Admission.
DETERMINING YOUR COURSE WORK LOAD?
A semester credit hour is defined as the number of hours per week you attend class during a traditional 16 week semester. Usually one credit hour requires one hour of class attendance each week. Laboratory classes usually require more time in the classroom.
To be considered a full-time student you must enroll in 12 credit hours.
