The Surgical Technolgy Program of Bowling Green Technical College has multiple clinical sites. The student can expect to rotate through a minimum of three different sites. Typically, the student changes clinical sites each semester or session. This enables the student to adapt to diverse department environments as stated in our program’s Mission Statement. However, clinical rotations are left to the discretion of the Program Director. Clinical assignments are always made with the student’s best interest in mind. Geographic location and clinical education needs of the student are always major factors in determining the clinical site for each student. Students should not assume they will rotate through a facility in which they are employed. If at all possible, this will be avoided when assigning rotation schedules from the Bowling Green Technical College main campus.
Clinical sites are all within a one and one-half hour drive time. Students can expect at least one rotation that will require a long drive. Again, rotations are scheduled with the least amount of drive when possible, but this is not always possible. It is the student’s responsibility to make all travel arrangements for clinical rotations.
